Introduction
In today’s digital age, artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the way we create content. AI-powered text generators can produce human-quality text, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish between AI-generated and human-written content.
To combat this, AI detectors have emerged to identify AI-generated text. However, as AI generators become more sophisticated, so too do the techniques used to evade detection.
The Experiment of AI Text Generators vs AI Text Detectors
In this experiment, we pitted some of the most popular AI text generators against a variety of AI detectors to determine which tools were most effective. You can watch the video to see what we generated and how we tested all the AI Text Detectors to find out the best one.
The Contenders
-
AI Text Generators:
- ChatGPT 3.5
- Google Bard
- Co-pilot (GPT-4)
-
AI Detectors:
- Scribble
- ZeroGPT
- CrossPlag
- CopyLeaks
- GPTZero
- Sapling
The Results
- ChatGPT 3.5: While a powerful tool, it was easily detected by most detectors, except for Scribble.
- Google Bard: This AI generator proved to be quite elusive, evading detection by Scribble, CopyLeaks, and Sapling.
- Co-pilot (GPT-4): Despite its advanced capabilities, Co-pilot was detected by all detectors, making it the least effective choice for those seeking to avoid detection.
The Verdict
When it comes to AI detectors, ZeroGPT and GPTZero emerged as the most reliable tools. They successfully identified AI-generated text from all three generators.
However, it’s important to note that the AI landscape is constantly evolving. As AI generators become more sophisticated, it’s likely that AI detectors will need to adapt to stay ahead.
The Future of AI and Detection
In the future, we can expect to see even more advanced AI tools that can generate highly convincing human-like text. This will make it even more challenging to distinguish between AI-generated and human-written content.
To stay ahead of the curve, it’s crucial to stay informed about the latest developments in AI and to use a combination of tools and techniques to identify AI-generated text.
